Chinese coolies, and land sooh repatriates.

(ii) to arrange for proper medical assistance to such of

these repatriates as might be sick.

(iii) To assist soot rapatriates in the negocistion of

their money drafts.

(iv) to arrange for the conveyance of such repatriates to

their native places.'

The above iotsils having been formulated, and distinctly under-

stood by sll concerned, the sllowances, as above stated, were propossi

by the Jolontal Joorstary, Mr.(now Sir Henry) Way, and having been ---

approved on 11th, May 1935, by the Governor, were paid, as from 4th. April

1905, It is to be prasused that these sues were considered to be a --

fair remuneration to the officers sencerned for the work done by esch,

as they were losally allotted with full knowledge of the duties to be

altered in any my or degres until January 1910, when the repatriation
